Black Friday has drifted over from the US to become an integral part of online shopping and the retail landscape. The high discounts are very interesting for consumers and encourage them to purchase products. EMMA Safety Footwear does not participate in the discount craziness for sustainability reasons. But we do respond to Black Friday, namely with our Black Collection!
EMMA’s Black Collection
Instead of engaging in mass Black Friday consumption, EMMA Safety Footwear chooses a more sustainable path with EMMA’s Black Collection. Safety shoes that are sustainably produced, durable, and available through local dealers. Recycled materials are also used in production.
The closure is made of 98% recycled PET
The lining is made of 76% recycled PES (polyester)
The Inlay sole is made of 85% recycled content
Specifically designed for those in need of work safety shoes, we’ve compiled a top 4 selection featuring both low and high models from this durable collection of safety footwear.
Our top four from the Black Collection
Leo & Lukas Leo is a low-profile all-round safety shoe, while Lukas is its taller counterpart. The steel toe cap, additional PU toe cap, and Easy Twist sole with ‘sticky grip’ make it highly suitable for the construction, engineering, nature and environmental sectors. Leo and Lukas are available in various widths, making them an excellent choice for those with wider feet. Lukas is also certified as climate-neutral.
Roy & Ringo Looking for a versatile steel-toed safety shoe? Go for the low Roy or high Ringo! This shoe conforms perfectly to your foot, making it a popular choice for hard workers who spend long hours on their feet. The sole is easy to clean, and the exterior wipes down in no time. This makes Roy and Ringo perfect for logistics, transport, food, chemical, and service industries.
Bas & Billy Bas (low model) and Billy (high model) are versatile options, suitable for both indoor workshop use and outdoor field work. The outsole effectively resists acid and oil, making the shoe an excellent choice for chemical environments. The GripForce® Duo sole provides all-day stability, no matter the surface. Available in sizes 37 to 49 and in various widths, making it suitable for all foot types!
Clay & Clyde Do you enjoy wearing sneakers, but do you have a job that requires safety shoes? Then the low Clay or high Clyde are just the thing for you! This shoe is metal-free, features an abrasion-resistant coating on the toe cap, and incorporates a unique heel construction for enhanced support. With reinforced, shock-absorbing soles added to the mix, this shoe offers support and protection throughout the day in nearly all sectors. Is sustainability a priority for you? Then go for Clyde, as this shoe is certified climate neutral.
A popular safety shoe
The EMMA Black Collection is highly sought after by its wearers. Why? Thanks to their versatility, these shoes are ideal for a range of working conditions—whether you’re on a construction site, outdoors in a field, or on duty inside a factory. Furthermore, these shoes are easy to maintain, and their contemporary, sporty design is in high demand. Black remains a popular colour because it goes with any outfit. Shoes from this collection are renowned for their exceptional fit and outstanding comfort.
EMMA manufactures sustainably
Not only is the EMMA Black Collection sustainable, almost all EMMA safety shoes are manufactured sustainably. Among other things, this means that:
A significant proportion of our shoes come with a materials passport.
We use water-based glue in part of our production process.
The materials used in our shoes are selected for their durability and long service life.
EMMA strives to minimise its CO2 emissions, energy consumption, and waste production.
Reclaimed raw materials and recycled materials are used in new products.
EMMA also encourages wearers to properly maintain their safety shoes. Proper maintenance not only ensures comfort and compliance with safety standards but also significantly extends the lifespan of the shoes. And the latter is good for the environment, because the longer your shoes last, the less often new ones will need to be produced! Here are some maintenance tips.
