The OXXA® Product Passport: Insight into origin, materials, and CO₂ impact

The OXXA® Product Passport provides insight into the origin, composition, and environmental impact of the gloves. A series of product passports are already available, and this will be further expanded in 2026.

Purpose of the Product Passport

The Product Passport is intended to inform users and organizations about factors such as the materials used, the production method, and the associated carbon footprint. It thus responds to the growing need for reliable information about sustainability and safety.

Contents of the Product Passport

The OXXA® Product Passport contains an overview of all relevant product data, including:

1. Weight based on a reference

For each model, the weight of a fixed representative size is included to provide a consistent basis for environmental and material calculations.

2. Location of production

The document states where the glove was produced, which contributes to transparency about its origin within the chain.

3. Origin of raw materials

The Product Passport describes where the materials used come from.

4. Materials used

The materials used are specified for each glove type. Examples of materials used are:

• Natural latex for grip
• HPPE fibers for cut resistance
• Thermal fibers for heat insulation

5. CO₂ impact

The Product Passport shows the total CO₂ emissions per glove. The emissions are divided into:

• Production processes
• Raw materials
• Transport

This classification clearly shows where the greatest environmental impact occurs within the life cycle.

6. Disposal at the end of the product's life

Because the gloves are made of composite materials, it is not possible to repair or recycle them. The passport indicates that:

• Gloves must be disposed of safely
• Packaging materials must be collected separately

The Product Passports are available on the OXXA® website via the download portal by searching for the relevant item number. This means they can be used immediately to support customer communication or sustainability reports.
