VeriShield™ 100: how to protect hearing without sacrificing comfort

Summer brings longer days and busier operations across industries creating a unique challenge for employees who must wear hearing protection throughout their shifts. Higher temperatures, humidity, and physically demanding work can make hearing protection feel uncomfortable, potentially leading to inconsistent use and increased risk of noise-induced hearing damage.

In noisy workplaces, removing hearing protection “just for a moment” can expose workers to harmful noise levels. It must also provide comfort, support communication, and integrate seamlessly with other personal protective equipment (PPE). The VeriShield™ 100 Series has been designed with these requirements in mind, offering a comprehensive range of earmuffs suitable for low, medium, and high noise environments.

The VeriShield™ earmuffs feature a large dimension range to accommodate different head sizes, while the wide ear cup opening, enlarged by 16% compared to previous versions, makes them particularly suitable for users with larger ears or hearing aids. Lightweight construction, cushioned headbands, and soft memory foam ear cushions help reduce pressure on the head, encouraging all-day wear and improving compliance with hearing protection programs.

Built for demanding environments, VeriShield™ earmuffs also feature a robust, oil-resistant cup surface, rugged ABS construction, and a lightweight internal baffle design that withstands heavy industrial use and frequent cleaning. Air Flow Control Technology helps optimise attenuation across frequencies, while compatibility with hard hats and face shields makes integration with other PPE simple. In fact, the earmuffs can be attached to a hard hat in approximately seven seconds, supporting efficient transitions between tasks.

All VeriShield™ models also feature Sound Management Technology (SMT™), which improves workplace communication while maintaining effective hearing protection. SMT™ helps block harmful noise while allowing speech and warning signals to be heard more naturally. By reducing distortion of speech frequencies, the technology supports better communication, decreases worker isolation, and minimizes the risk of overprotection in dynamic work environments.

To support diverse applications, the VeriShield™ range is available in multiple configurations, including over-the-head, folding, behind-the-neck, hard hat-mounted, and multi-position models. The earmuffs are designed to integrate easily with hard hats, face shields, welding helmets, and other PPE, enabling workers to maintain complete protection without compromising comfort. Attenuation levels range up to SNR 35, allowing employers to select the most appropriate solution for their specific noise exposure requirements.

In industrial environments, hearing protection should remain a priority. Choose a solution that not only protects workers from hazardous noise but also encourages consistent use, helping organizations improve both safety and productivity.
