Majestic would like to get in touch with the users of our PPE. How do they experience the products and in which activities are they used? This time we speak with greenhouse demolition company Knijnenburg-Zwirs B.V. and in particular with work planner Paul de Ruijter.

Grip

“In addition to demolishing existing greenhouses, for example to create space for horticultural companies that want to renew, we also do damage repair. Think of storm or hail damage, but also construction and / or facade damage. ” Paul says that it is important for colleagues in the field that they can work safely, comfortably and therefore productively. “The OXXA® gloves play an important role in this. In both dry and wet conditions, we don’t want to lose grip on the bulky material we work with. The OXXA® X-Grip turned out to be the perfect glove for our type of work. The latex coating with wrinkled finish provides excellent grip. And we need that. They also last a long time. A welcome addition! ”

Cut resistance

“Greenhouses and glass are inextricably linked, of course,” says Paul. “And where there is glass, there is a high risk of cuts. In consultation with Majestic, we are looking at a new glove that we can introduce. We could then use it perfectly next to the OXXA® X-Grip glove. We are currently conducting field tests with the OXXA® X-Cut-Flex IP glove. This impact- and cut-resistant glove is intended to give the aspect of working safely within Knijnenburg-Zwirs a new positive boost. Direct contact with an external PPE knowledge party such as Majestic is very pleasant for us. We have a challenge, Majestic provides the right advice. Based on that advice, we proceed to purchase from one of the OXXA® distribution partners.

More protection and increased comfort for the wearer. That is in short what our newest Siopor® Excell collection stands for.

Our new Siopor® Excell styles comply to the new IEC 61482-2 / 2018 standard, ATPV 9.1 cal/cm², protecting the wearer against the risks caused by an electric flashover. This new collection named “ExcellARC” will be certified according to the most recent standards.

The fabric is not only softer and more supple, but it is also lighter of weight: 280 g/m². What makes the garments even more comfortable and pleasant to wear is that the breathability of the fabric has been improved. Siopor® Excell products comply to class 4 for breathability (Ret < 15) of the new standard EN 343-2019.

Torvik – Hi-vis rain jacket with ARC protection.

Lightweight, superior protection, breathable and waterproof. The Grindal rain jacket ticks all these boxes. This soft and supple jacket, manufactered in our new and improved Siopor® Excell fabric only weighs 280 g/m² while offering a very high level of protection complying to international standards like IEC 61482-2, EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 11611, EN 1149-5 and EN 13034 amongst others. The segmented reflective tape adds to the breathability and the flexibility. The elongated backtail, preshaped sleeve ends and the improved YKK-zipper with ergonomic pull tab also increase the conveniece of this jacket.

Prices for various Ansell products will be adjusted for additional surcharges from January 1, 2021. We cannot use an average percentage on this. These adjustments will be processed within the Majestic price list of 1-1-2021.

Adjusted delivery times in December. 

December has arrived again! With Christmas and New Year around the corner, we will have to make some adjustments from Thursday December 24. Therefore, take the following into account at the end of December and the beginning of January:

• Order entry and the handling and receipt of goods at the Majestic distribution center is possible on Thursday December 24 until 12:00 noon;
• Orders received at the Majestic office in Spijkenisse on Thursday December 24 before 12:00 noon will be delivered on Monday December 28;
• Orders that arrive at the Majestic office in Spijkenisse on Thursday December 24 after 12:00 pm, will be delivered on Tuesday December 29;
• The order processing process in the distribution center will be halted from December 28 to January 1^st;
• Orders received during that period will be collected on Monday January 4, 2021 and delivered on Tuesday January 5;
• The Majestic distribution center will be closed on Friday, January 1^st.
